From the opening:

"On June 17, 2021, sixty years had passed since the founding of the ASÍ Art Museum. To mark the occasion, the museum published nine handmade posters by nine young visual artists/designers addressing some of the most urgent social issues of our time. The posters are intended to speak directly to the contemporary moment through visual language that everyone can understand. With this project, the museum aims to capture the spirit of the present day. Society has undergone tremendous changes during the sixty years the museum has been operating. By using methods that were common sixty years ago, the project engages with the past while simultaneously telling the story of the present and the challenges we face today.

The project takes its name from Kjarval’s famous 1946 painting, which depicts young people on a shoreline in drizzling rain. In the description of the work IT IS GOOD TO LIVE, it says:

“Nature is somewhat gloomy and the weather outlook uncertain. The boys on the shore know well what they want, and life is not worth living merely because everything is pleasant and carefree, but rather because they dare to face an uncertain world and are determined to save it.”

One of the project’s aims today is to encourage young designers and visual artists to “face an uncertain world,” interpret it, and express themselves about what is happening in human society."
